  725.         defined above, individual articles need to be
  726.         separately negotiated for.  As for articles written by
  727.         R.H. Martin, permission to reprint will almost always
  728.         be granted to reprint it on a non-exclusive basis as an
  729.         individual article reprint.  Contact me ahead of time
  730.         and I can provide you with the article's text in an
  731.         easy to use word-processing form, assuming permission

  761.                SUBSCRIPTIONS AND BACK ISSUE AVAILABILITY:
  762.         
  763.              As a convenience to those without modems or to
  764.         those with modems who don't want to download nearly 2MB
  765.         of existing magazines, back issues are available on
  766.         diskette.  The content is freeware but diskettes,
  767.         postage, packaging, and handling isn't. To get it free
  768.         one has to obtain it from the multitude of no-charge
  769.         BBSs that carry it.  According to the project leader
  770.         for SDN, the main Fidonet feed BBS's (a few thousand)
  771.         for the 22,000 fidonet BBSs carry the SDN files, which
  772.         include ShareDebate International (scan for
  773.         DBATE*.SDN).  Also carrying the magazine are any BBS
  774.         that carries the latest PC-SIG CD ROM (disk #s 2121,
  775.         2260, 2390, 2749, 2750, 2753);  BIX (IBM.UTILS
  776.         filearea); or GEnie (IBMPC RT Applications library).
  777.         Search for the filename pattern, DBATE*.*.  As of this
  778.         date, all of these carry the existing 8 issues.  PC-SIG
  779.         has or will shortly release issues 7-8.  The POLITICS
  780.         forum on Compuserve carries most if not all of the
  781.         issues as of issue 9.  (Note: issue 12's addendum--
  782.         DBATE013--isn't carried on Compuserve as it only
  783.         contained Clinton's legislation for his Health Act
  784.         which is otherwise available in POLITICS.)

  786.            Pre-existing subscriptions or future subscriptions
  787.         ordered on the basis of information in old copies of
  788.         the magazine will be honored and those subscribers will
  789.         be sent the future number of S.I. issues that they
  790.         ordered, and if their order included getting back
  791.         issues, they'll be sent too.

  793.            Otherwise, S.I. orders are only solicited for
  794.         current year and back issue copies (for most persons,
  795.         obtaining the back issues on diskette will be cheaper
  796.         than your phone/computer charges to download all back
  797.         issues). What you will be paying for is not the content
  798.         of the magazines, but the packaging, shipping, time and
  799.         costs incurred.  Your costs will vary depending upon
  800.         (a) your country location and (b) the quantity ordered.
